Divisibility
Divisibility
means whether one number can be divided evenly by another
number without leaving a remainder.
For example:
When we divide 12 by 3, we get 4, and there is no remainder.
This means 12 is divisible by 3.
•Divisible by 1: Every integer (whole number) is divisible by 1.
•Divisible by 2: If the last digit of the number is even (0, 2, 4,
6, or 8), then the number is divisible by 2.
•Divisible by 3: If the sum of the digits of the number is
divisible by 3, then the number is divisible by 3. For example,
the number 15 is divisible by 3 because 1 + 5 = 6, and 6 is
divisible by 3.
