The resolution, passed on Nov. 15, provides for %u201c an exemption from public letting for extra work in connection with the const action of the Fulton Mall.%u201dThe Board of Directors of the Fulton Mall Improvement Association (FMIA) voted unanimously on Nov. 13 to request approval of the resolution. In a letter to Borough President Golden, the Chairman of FMIA, Richard Sachs, stated %u201c the sidewalks which will be restored for the Holiday Season are in areas in which unanticipated engineering problems have caused delays in reconstructioft.%u201d Sachs also pointed out that a successful season fof merchants on the street would bring %u201c retained sales and payroll taxes%u201d which would %u201c far exceed%u201d the cost of the project.%u2014L.H.Golden Speaks In Boerum HillBorough President Howard Golden will be the speaker at the General Membership Meeting of the Boerum Hill Association on November 29. The following officers have been nominated and are up for election at this meeting: President-Willie Williams, Vice President-Joe Mohbat, Secretary-Donna Cambas, and Treasurer-Len Walit. The current members at large are David Ramsey, Marjorie Friedlander and Earl Scott. The meeting will take place November 29, at 8pm, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, on the comer of 3rd and Pacific.Group Seeks Housing RehabThe first meeting of the Atlantic Terminal sites 1 and 5 subcommittee of Board Two%u2019s Planning and District Development Committee, on Nov. 7, agreed that the possibility of rehabilitation of buildings on site 1 should be stressed as proposals are sought. The group, representing ten different organizations with an interest in the way the sites are developed, made modifications in the Request For Proposal to be issued by HPD in the next week or two. In addition to agreeing that rehabilitation of the brownstone row at Flatbush and 4th Ave. is feasible and desirable, the subcommittee also decided that the Request for Proposal should place greater emphasis on the possibility of non-commercial uses for the sites, Marcia Rimler, Committee Chairman, reports.%u2014L.H.Local Eateries FinedSofia Lignos who keeps a mobile depot at 139 Duffield Street was fined $150; Chaun Yuan Restaurant located at 128 Montague Street was fined $350 and Me Donalds at 289 Ninth Street was fined $75 all for violations of the Health Code.
