He also demanded her ring. When she refused, he punched her on the left side of her jaw and escaped.WINDOW THIEF: The window of a store located at 92 Seventh Ave. was broken on Aug. 11 at 3:05am by 29-year-old Francisco Salas of Queens. A witness saw Salas break the window and take things from the storefront. He was subsequently arrested and charged with criminal mischief and possession of stolen property.SNATCH ATTEMPT: A man unsuccessfully attempted to snatch the bag of a 28-year old woman as he exited from the subway at the Borough Hall Station on Aug. 11 at 10:45pm.WAS IT CRACK: On Aug. 12 at 6:04am, Stephen Harris, of Bond St., was arrested after he climbed out of a fourth-floor window at 568 Baltic to walk down the fire escape. The officer who arrested Harris, originally responded to what he thought was a crack to dispute only to find a burglary in progress.CIGARETTES STOLEN: 18-year-oldThomas Shary of Sixth Ave. was arrested for burglary and possession of stolen property on Aug. 13 at 2am. Shary had entered 298 9th St. and by the time the police officer responded to the call, he was found in the basement of the building with a pack of Marlboros.ELDERLY MAN: An 81-year old man was thrown to the ground by two men and then had his property removed on Aug. 11 at 11am. The man who was on his way to making a bank deposit was confronted by the two at 250 Livingston Street. They escaped with $7,700.BOARDING SUBWAY: A woman, 29, who was boarding the northbound IRT train at the Clark Street Station, had her bag snatched on Aug. 13 at 1:30am. The man ran up the stairs and escaped with $85.BUS STOP ROBBERY: Two men jammed a 69-year old man between them and removed his property from his pockets on Aug. 12 at 3:30pm. The man had been waiting for a bus at the corner of Bond and Livingston Streets when the two approached and put something in his back that felt like a gun. The two fled with $350.TWO ARRESTED: A man and a woman were arrested after they robbed a 19-year old man near the comer of Pacific and Third Avenue on August 12 at 3:15am. The two robbed him at knifepoint after arguing with him and took a chain and medallion. P.O. B. Myles from the 78th Precinct arrested Sheldon Hardison, 25, and Tamecka Warren, 36, both from Bond Street.VALUABLE TOOLS: Grand larceny of an auto took place on Congress St. on Aug. 9 at 5:30pm when, a 36 year-old male complainant said, the passenger window of his car was broken, and over $1500 worth of tools was stolen.SOUND ASLEEP: A 50-year-old man slept through the removal of his window screen, and consequent theft of two Raleigh bikes, a tool box, a green suitcase, a tape deck, and the window screen, on Aug. 8 at 11:50pm on Warren St.AT THE SUBWAY: A 19-year-old male was the victim of a grand larceny on the steps of the subway station at Seventh Ave. and 9th St. Aug. 12 at 7:45pm.
