Spa at Torrey Pines The Spa at Torrey Pines
Inspired by elements from the adjacent Torrey Pines State Reserve
and Pacific Ocean, The Spa at Torrey Pines features signature
treatments themed around the natural timelessness and purity of
the La Jolla coastline. This San Diego spa uses botanical and ma-
rine based extracts to replenish and restore your body and mind.
This spa is as unique in its treatments as it is in its function and
locale among San Diego spas. Central to the spa experience are
treatments utilizing marine and botanical based products from the
European lines of Phytomer, True and Comfort Zone—reflecting
the resort’s location on the coast, adjacent to the treasured Tor-
rey Pines State Reserve.
The design of The Spa at Torrey Pines takes its artistic direc-
tion from Scottish architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh. A feng shui
expert was retained to advise on the layout of the 9,500-square-
foot space. In addition to 14 treatment rooms, there are two
locker rooms (men’s and women’s), a relaxation lounge with a fire-
place, dry saunas, herbal infused steam rooms and aromatherapy
inhalation rooms.
A cardio/strength room features state-of-the-art treadmills,
elliptical trainers, stationary cycles and weight-training equipment.
Yoga classes and guided nature walks through the Reserve are
also offered. An outdoor grand-scale pool and whirlpool take
advantage of the year-round temperate weather and beautiful
views.
