Southern Oregon native LARRY TURNER is
an adventurer/explorer with international,
national, and regional photography/writing
credits including The Atlantic, Smithsonian,
National Geographic Traveler, American
Heritage, Browntrout Publishers, Range
Magazine (21 covers), Vermont Monthly,
Boston Globe, Sunset, Nevada Magazine,
Denver Post, and United Press International.
He is co-owner of High on Adventure travel magazine and owner of
Larry Turner Photography, as well as an active member of the North
American Snowsports Journalists Association.
CHRIS DENNETT moved to the Rogue Valley
at the age of nine in 1983, when his family
opened the McCully House in Jacksonville
as a bed and breakfast. He has been in the
food industry since 1993, including working
in hospitality in both Scotland and Australia,
in 1994 and 1997-98 respectively. Dennett
opened Elements in 2006, followed by
Beerworks Medford in 2011 and Beerworks Jacksonville in 2016.
He is a co-founder and organizer for Medford Beer Week and the
Southern Oregon Craft Brew Festival.
PAULA BANDY has lived in Southern Oregon
for 16 years with 10 of them in Klamath Falls
where she founded the Klamath Leaf of
Cascadia Green Building Council and Klamath
Basin Green Drinks. A radio commentator for
Jefferson Public Radio, she now writes for the
Jefferson Monthly. Currently a doctoral candi-
date focusing on the ‘practice of living beauty,’
she has been published internationally and is working on a series of
children’s books about science, art and history. Her new website, www.
beautiosophy.com, is in its bare bones beginning.
NISHA JACKSON is a nationally recognized
hormone expert and gynecology health
specialist. Her private practice specializes
in women’s health and the treatment for
hormone imbalances for men and women.
Jackson is nationally recognized as a lecturer,
motivational speaker, radio host, columnist,
and author. Jackson owns a medical practice
in Medford and Roseburg, Oregon, and a supplement/health com-
pany called Balance Docs.
LEE JUILLERAT is a freelance writer-photog-
rapher and former regional editor for the
Klamath Falls Herald and News. He has writ-
ten or co-authored books about Crater Lake
National Park and, most recently, Lava Beds
National Monument. An active outdoorsman,
he remains an active hiker, backpacker, down-
hill and cross country skier.
LYNN LEISSLER is a freelance writer living in
Southern Oregon, where she enjoys the cul-
tural and scenic variety of the area. She writes
for various publications, and enjoys quilting,
reading, gardening and traveling. She is cur-
rently working on her first novel, while her cat,
Kris Kringle, looks on from his windowsill perch.
LISA MANYON is The Business Marketing
