On Wednesday of Week 2, our Year 9 and 10 students travelled to Ardrossan to participate in the Rex Minerals Resource Sector Immersion Day. They heard from industry representatives who shared about the broad range of employment opportunities that will soon be available locally thanks to the new mine, and the career pathways involved.
Students inspected mining machinery, spoke with industry professionals, and explored mining roles through simulators and virtual reality. This was an excellent opportunity for our students to grow their awareness of the career opportunities they may pursue in the mining industry, as they prepare for their futures.
