Youth Alive
Diverse Education
The end of Term 3 and the start of Term 4 have been
buzzing with excitement and creativity in the Diverse
Education class. Students have been diving into hands-on
activities that bring lessons to life.
In Literacy, we put a sweet twist on learning letter names
by decorating biscuits! Students had a blast using icing to
form letters, turning their learning into a delicious and
memorable experience.
One of our reading lessons focused on The Day the Crayons
Quit, with students exploring each crayon’s emotions,
and creating balloon characters with expressive faces
to match their colour. One student declared, “I think
blue should have a happy face because it’s my favourite
colour,” while another boldly stated, “Red is definitely
angry!” We wrapped up the lesson with a lively game of
Keepy-Uppy!
In Science, we celebrated the changing seasons by crafting
bright summer suns and autumn leaves, discussing the
beauty and transformations each season brings.
It has been an inspiring start to Term 4, with activities that
let our students learn, create, and have fun all at once!
Youth Alive are a group of youth leaders
dedicated to outreach programs within
schools, churches and youth groups.
On Thursday of Week 2, a team from Youth
Alive delivered an engaging session of
music and testimony for our Secondary
students. Lively music energised the
room, and many students felt a strong
connection with the Youth Alive team.
Students then had the chance to attend
Youth Alive GroundSwell on Saturday
night. Over 25 Harvest Christian College
students joined the event with local youth
groups. We are grateful our students had
such an amazing opportunity.
