From the Head of Primary
Mr Tyson Hartley
Leo Buscaglia, American motivational speaker and former teacher,
says that “your talent is God’s gift to you, [but] what you do with it is
your gift back to God.”
Here at Harvest, we are blessed to offer a range of different
opportunities to our students which allow them to grow
academically, spiritually and in sporting ability. These moments
develop discipline, perseverance and problem-solving skills in ways
that help them authentically learn to work together as a school or
broader community.
Opportunities are the gateway for growth and transformation. They allow our students
to explore new paths, develop skills they didn’t know they had, and discover their true
potential. Matthew 5:16 calls us to let our ‘...light shine before others, that they may see
your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
We believe that each of our students are fearfully and wonderfully made in the image
of God. Our gifts and talents are a reflection of God’s glory. By using them wisely and
generously, we honour God and inspire others to use their strengths to serve those
around them.
We would like to extend our congratulations to those students who have diligently
represented our College over the past term in a variety of ways across local and state
sporting competitions, work experience placements, student leadership conferences and
chess tournaments.
Continue to shine the light of the Lord to those around you through whatever
opportunities come your way.
