Successful knee joint replacement surgery for a 50 years old patient at Mouwasat Hospital in Dammam
The team of the Orthopedic Department at Al-Mowasat Hospital in Dammam succeeded in ending the suffering of a 50 years old patient who was complaining of knee pain and the inability to walk,
as she underwent shortly before the knee joint replacement surgery in another hospital, and six months after her first
operation there, her condition was deteriorated.
The patient visited the clinic of Dr. Muhammad Al-Hadi Al-Mahrazi, consultant orthopedic surgeon at Mouwasat Hospital in Dammam, who did the necessary x-rays and tests
that showed that the knee joint had moved from its original position with a curving in the knee.
The medical team headed by Dr. Muhammad Al-Hadi Al-Mah- razi, consultant orthopedic surgeon, met to study the case, where it was agreed that the old joint should be removed and a new knee
joint should be installed and the operation was successfully carried out, praise be to God.
After few days in the hospital with periodic monitoring by the medical team, the patient’s condition was improved.
She was discharged from the hospital and performed her normal life by moving and walking in a short period
