The manufacturer can protect us it lie wants to. and I think
if we prove to him that we do not want any of his money, hut will
add to his price a little to let us get a profit. He will see it does
not make any difference.
Mr. Drury and I have put in considerable time with the va
rious members in Xew York City; I don’t know how many we
have now. but it is quite an improvement over last year. For a
while Mr. Bradley and I were the only two members, and now I
think we have nine, so that is doing considerable for one year.
I promise I will use my unceasing efforts, with the aid of the
Secretary, to get members in Philadelphia and New York. I
mention Philadelphia because I have been asked by Mr. Drury
to go there.
I think the same as Mr. Puchta does, that local organiza
tions are a great help so far as re-sale prices are concerned, and
as well to discuss the credit of our possible customers. I think
through local associations a great deal can be done to save our
selves from selling to some one to whom some one else has re
fused to sell. I think if we go on that basis it will enlarge our
profits.
P resid en t S trong : There is a good looking gentleman
from Detroit behind Mr. Brion, who has been trying to keep out
of sight, but he has not succeeded.
M r. S t r e l i n g e r : I have nothing to say except to repeat
what other gentlemen have said. It is all right, and nothing has
been said except what is true. I am secretary of our local
Hot Air Association, and do say things, but for the present I
have nothing to add.
