In Memoriam Mechlin D. Moore, former president and chief executive
officer of the Insurance Information Institute (I.I.I.), passed
away on Tuesday, June 13, following a lengthy battle with
cancer.
Michael J. “Mike” McHugh, age 67, of Manhattan, passed
away suddenly on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Silver Cross Moore, of Rye, New York, led the I.I.I. from 1979 until

was a generous supporter of DePaul University Athletic
Foundation, Notre Dame Athletics and Leo Alumni
Association. He served on the Board of Trustees at Mother
McAuley High School and was a recipient of the Catherine
McAuley Leadership Award .
He is survived by his wife Mary Ellen, children Mary Beth
(Paul) Sanchez, Rosellen (John) Brannigan, Nancy (fiancé
Dennis Leuver) and Michael and gradchildren.
