PLAN A PRODUCTIVE GARDEN
Needs vary from plant to plant. Take the time to analyze your property to determine
the ideal location.
1. Observe the course of the sun and identify full sun, partial shade and shaded areas.
2. Do a soil test and verify drainage if you plan to grow in the ground.
3. Create zones to circulate easily around the garden. Don’t overcrowd the space.
4. Integrate and use existing structures such as a fence, terrace, or shed to grow climbing plants.
5. Make sure you have access to water and storage for your gardening tools.
6. Install a compost bin and a water collector.
