Then-presidential candidate Yoon Suk-yeol attended the event and said, “We will protect the
universal values of liberal democracy and the rule of law and establish a strong security
posture. We will create a society where fairness and common sense are straightened again to
open up the bright future of South Korea.” He went on to say, “I hope you all, who have led
the philosophy and vision of conservatism for a long time, will share wisdom and experience,”
in remarks that were well-received by the audience.
