1. Overview
개요

Purpose of the event (행사 목적)

The next generation of leaders from Hawaii's prestigious high schools are invited to
South Korea to participate in a symposium that builds on the U.S.-Korea Alliance and
fosters a deeper bond between the two countries. During the symposium, students
present on their individual topics, sharing their knowledge and diverse perspectives
with each other. They also tour various sites related to South Korea's history,
economy, culture, and security, giving them a deeper understanding of current Korean
society. Through this, students will broaden their understanding of Korea's past,
present, and future, and gain a deeper appreciation for the importance of the U.S.-
Korea relationship. This program will provide students with an important springboard to
grow as global leaders.
하와이 명문 고등학교의 차세대 리더들을 한국으로 초청하여, 한미동맹을 기반으로 한미 간 깊은
유대관계를 발전시키기 위한 심포지엄에 참석하게 합니다. 이 심포지엄에서 학생들은 자신의 개별 주제에
대해 발표하며 상호 간의 지식을 공유하고, 다양한 관점을 나누는 시간을 갖습니다. 또한, 한국의 역사, 경제,
문화, 안보와 관련된 다양한 현장을 견학하며, 현재의 한국 사회를 깊이 이해할 수 있는 기회를 제공합니다.
이를 통해 학생들은 한국의 과거와 현재, 나아가 미래에 대한 이해를 넓히고, 한미 관계의 중요성을 더욱
깊이 인식할 수 있게 됩니다. 이 프로그램은 학생들에게 글로벌 리더로서 성장할 수 있는 중요한 발판을
마련해줄 것입니다.
