Co-op/Experiential Learning

Students at Kettering University gain an
experiential edge over their peers at other
universities as a result of their employment with
one of our 500+ co-op partner organizations.
These organizations range from start-up
companies to some of the largest corporations
in the world. Through a job search process
that resembles the real world, students choose
which organizations they want to pursue co-op
employment with. During co-op work terms,
students have been involved in a variety
of projects such as testing ballistic missiles,
re-engineering crowd management systems,
and pioneering laser catheter technology. As a
result of this co-op program, students are better
prepared for what lies ahead, are confident
in their career choice, and are more desirable
candidates for jobs in an economy that
demands prior experience from new hires.
