Flexible Spending Account (FSA)—Dependent Care
for Child Daycare or Elder Care Services (per IRS
Regulations)
FCS also makes available a lexible spending account for dependent
care expenses. You can contribute a minimum of $100 and up to $5,000
per year.
Please note: expenses must be incurred in 2020 while you are a covered
participant in the plan and elections cannot be stopped or changed during
the year unless a qualiied family status change occurs (as deined by the
IRS). Please note, you cannot use both a child care tax credit and a lex
dependent care account. The lexible spending account for dependent
care is administered by Flores & Associates.
Note: the FSA dependent care plan does not allow reimbursement
for claims for the children of domestic partners unless the
child is claimed as a dependent on your taxes or if you ile your
taxes jointly.
You can not use your Flores Mastercard with your dependent
care account.
Reminder: unused money in your dependent care account at the
end of the year will not be allowed to be used in the following
plan year, nor will it be refunded, so please be sure to make your
selections wisely!
To help determine your contribution amount please use the worksheet
on the next page to estimate your annual healthcare and/or dependent
care expenses.
