Confidence in Sharjah University Players

He expressed his great confidence in the abilities and potential of the Sharjah University players to
represent the country honorably, given their distinguished elements and their previous
achievement of first place in the last edition of the University Games organised by the UAE Sports
Federation for School and University Education. He added, "The participation of the UAE champion
aligns with the country’s approach and its commitment to involve its youth in such events,
especially since this event is not just a championship but reflects the core values of FISU, which
are: excellence, respect, team spirit, and openness to academic and cultural diversity."

UAE's commitment to University sports

The United Arab Emirates is one of the largest supporters of global sports in general and university
sports in particular. The focus on university games represents a qualitative leap in developing
Emirati sports, contributing to achieving the objectives of the National Sports Strategy 2031.
Furthermore, it helps create a university sports culture that inspires future generations, enhances
community cohesion, and supports the goals of wise leadership to increase sports participation in
society, thus enhancing the competitiveness of Emirati sports and reflecting its vital role in building
a strong foundation for future national sports.
