innovative technologies, ensuring a skilled workforce and creating a sustainable economic, social,
and environmental future, thereby enhancing quality of life and community happiness.
Enhancing economic development
By allocating 20 percent of its 2025 budget for economic development, Ajman seeks to meet one of
the key objectives of its vision which is enhancing the competitive business environment and
investment climate. Ajman has set out a clear pathway to achieving this target by creating a
business-friendly environment, encouraging and facilitating investment, strengthening the
commercial infrastructure, and facilitating trade and the commercial environment.

In addition, the vision aims to develop a conducive environment for entrepreneurship, start-ups and
the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and to enable increased private sector
participation in public projects and services.
The emirate also seeks to build human capital capable of achieving the emirate’s aspirations by
ensuring world-class education that drives academic achievement and prepares for the future,
encouraging research and development (R&D) and innovation in the emirate, and strengthening
workforce skills and lifelong learning.

Upgrading digital systems
The 2025 budget also aims to upgrade Ajman’s digital systems, build a sophisticated digital
government to drive economic development and deliver exceptional customer services. It also
supports the expansion of road networks, parks, and green spaces, promotes green building
initiatives, and encourages the growth of community and cultural activities.
These targets also fall in line with the Ajman Vision 2030 which aims to enhance the emirate’s
attractiveness by improving the performance of city operations and public services, creating active
urban centers, facilitating access to green and blue spaces, sports, recreational facilities and
community facilities, and promoting health, safety and well-being.
Another main goal for Ajman is to achieve an integrated and sustainable transport system by 2030.
This will be achieved by improving the quality of the road infrastructure, improving the quality of
the public transportation network, and encouraging active transportation by providing an
environment conducive to walking and cycling.
