“People are afraid they’ll lose their jobs to AI. But in the workforce, there’s always an opportunity to
upskill or reskill. You won’t lose your job unless you choose to stay the same, without learning,
adapting or developing. I encourage people to upskill or reskill themselves,” Bin Lahej told Gulf
News on the sidelines of the inaugural Dubai AI Week.
He stressed that people shouldn’t wait until AI becomes the only option, like how Zoom and Teams
meetings became a necessity during the pandemic.

“We don’t want to reach that point where we have to use AI because it's the only way forward.”
