Strategic partnership with Urbi
At Gitex, 7X signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Urbi, a leading geo-intelligence
company. This MoU aimed to utilize Urbi’s geographic information system (GIS) technology
solutions for logistics enhancement. Under this agreement, Urbi will offer technological support to
7X and its subsidiaries aimed at improving logistics operations.
The MoU was signed by Abdulla Mohammed Alashram, Group CEO of 7X, and Alexander Sysoev,
Chairman of Urbi. This agreement reflects the commitment of both entities to streamline delivery
operations and create new opportunities for technology-driven logistical solutions.
The collaboration will explore integrating Urbi’s advanced mapping and geospatial technologies
into 7X’s operations. This includes EMX, Emirates Post, and other entities. It serves as a
foundational step toward a more extensive initiative.
This initiative will involve developing a comprehensive ‘base map’ with detailed information on
residential and business listings. It will also include APIs for geocoding and reverse geocoding. This
ensures precise customer locations for accurate deliveries.
Additionally, route optimization, utilizing Urbi’s real-time data, will enhance operational efficiency
by reducing delivery times and costs.
GIS technologies are transforming the logistics sector by streamlining delivery routes, lowering
operational costs, and improving service reliability.
In response to this evolution, 7X is harnessing advanced technologies. It is also forming strategic
partnerships, such as the one with Urbi, to address changing market demands.
