appointment of Hassan Karimi to the Advisory Board

NewSpace Capital, a global private equity firm inves ng in space and space related industries, is
strengthening its es with the Middle East, as space industry becomes cri cal to the region’s
development.
Hassan Karimi, CEO of KHK & Partners, is appointed to the Industry Advisory Board of NewSpace Capital,
where he will join other prominent investors and space industry leaders.
NewSpace will benefit from Hassan Karimi’s wealth of investment experience and his close rela onships
with ins tu onal investors in the MENA region.
Bogdan Gogulan, NewSpace Capital’s CEO, said Hassan was joining the firm at a ‘very exci ng me for
NewSpace Capital and the space sector’.
The space sector is projected to be worth $1 trillion by 2040.

Global private equity firm NewSpace Capital has announced the appointment of seasoned investor Hassan
Karimi as an Industry Advisory Board member. Hassan, who co-founded the Dubai-based asset management
firm KHK & Partners, brings more than 18 years of global investment experience.

NewSpace Capital backs founders and business leaders across the space supply chain. It focuses on areas
such as the building and manufacture of components, broadcas ng and telecommunica on, earth
observa on, and naviga on. NewSpace Capital’s por olio includes a number of space tech world leaders –
among them ICEYE, Kayrros and Cailabs, companies that are forging close industrial es in the region.

NewSpace Capital has been firmly implanted in the UAE space ecosystem since its founding in 2018. With
the appointment of Hassan Karimi, the firm will further strengthen its rela onships with sovereign wealth
funds, ins tu onal investors and industrial partners.

With the appointment of Hassan Karimi, NewSpace will be able to call on close to two decades of high-level
experience working and inves ng in the Middle East, as well as extensive regional knowledge and
rela onships with regional investors. Hassan has deep exper se in inves ng in technology, having made a
number of successful investments in the space sector.

Hassan Karimi, a graduate from the Ins tute of Poli cal Studies, ESCP Europe and ENPC/Paris X, spent five
years at the Emirates Investment Authority (EIA), the UAE Federal Government’s sovereign wealth fund,
before he co-founded KHK & Partners. Before joining the EIA, he worked for The Carlyle Group, as well as
UBS in Dubai, London and Paris.
