Majra launches new award for SMEs to promote

business practices

Sharjah 24: The National Fund for Community Responsibility, "Majra," has introduced a new
category for its Community Impact Award: the "Community Impact Award for Small and Medium
Enterprises" (SMEs). This initiative aims to empower SMEs to create a sustainable impact,
contributing to the UAE’s social and economic development goals, and supporting national
sustainability objectives.

The award was unveiled during Majra's participation in the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival,
reflecting the Fund's commitment to promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable
practices within the SME sector.

Entrepreneurial ecosyste

The launch of this new award aligns with the UAE's efforts to strengthen the competitiveness of its
entrepreneurial ecosystem, particularly through the National Agenda for SMEs and
Entrepreneurship, introduced by the Ministry of Economy. The initiative seeks to make the UAE the
leading hub for entrepreneurship by 2031.
