Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the
Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, highlighted the significance of hosting the
championship in Ajman, describing it as a valuable addition to the UAE’s experience in
organising sporting events.

He acknowledged the leadership’s role in making the event possible, saying, “The support and
patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi… lays the foundation for the
exceptional hosting of the ongoing championship in Ajman.” He also noted the long-term value
of such events in promoting bodybuilding as a lifestyle and encouraging greater participation in
the sport locally and internationally.

Sheikh Abdullah Al Sharqi further stated that Ajman’s infrastructure and the reputation of the
Tourism Development Department reinforce confidence in the growth of sports in the UAE. He
encouraged participating athletes to “embrace the championship’s spirit of healthy competition
as they strive to realise their rightful ambitions.”

H.E. Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director-General of the Ajman Tourism Development
Department, added, “This renowned championship offers us a significant platform to
demonstrate our remarkable organisational capabilities and highlight Ajman’s leading tourism
and cultural attractions. In addition, it serves as a major milestone in our continuous efforts to
reinforce Ajman’s position as an ideal location to host major regional and international events
while paving the way for sustainable local economic growth and advancing national
development goals.”

The championship was officially inaugurated with a ceremony hosted by the Tourism
Development Department. Competitions are being held across multiple categories, including
Classic Bodybuilding (Juniors, Men, and Masters), Women’s Acrobatics, Women’s Artistic
Fitness, Fit Model (Women, Juniors, and Masters), Men’s Fitness, Women’s and Masters
Physique, Women’s Fit Model, Women’s Physique, Body Fitness (Women, Juniors, and
Masters), Women’s Body Fitness, Women’s and Juniors Wellness, Open Fit Pairs, and Bikini
(Juniors and Women).

The event is seen as an opportunity to present Ajman’s capabilities in organising international
gatherings and to promote the emirate’s tourism and cultural profile. It also reflects close
cooperation between the Ajman Tourism Development Department and the Emirates
Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, in line with the wider vision to strengthen Ajman’s position
in both the tourism and sports sectors.
