DUBAI, 10th October / WAM / The General Sports Authority will launch, during GITEX Global 2022, a series of technical
projects aimed at promoting sports culture in society and expanding public attraction by relying on the latest advanced global
technologies and artificial intelligence.
Among this series, there are several virtual global sports projects, the first of their kind at the state and international levels;
Such as the “Virtual Sports City”, the “Emirates Sports Encyclopedia” and the “Sports Entities Platform”, which contributes
to developing the technical presence in the sports sector and increasing public attraction by making sports information
available to various segments of society.
His Excellency Saeed Abdul Ghaffar Hussain, Secretary-General of the authority said, “Participation in GITEX represents
an opportunity for all parties to exchange ideas and learn about the latest technical projects and the latest technology, and the
UAE has always been the capital of innovation and technical development by relying on smart systems and using human
creativity in employing these Through the new technical projects, the authority is looking forward to getting closer to all
members of society, specifically the youth group who are attracted by modern technologies, which is what we are working to
achieve through the (Virtual Sports City).
He pointed out that the Virtual Sports City represents a pioneering and qualitative project in the world, which makes the
UAE a pioneer in launching such projects, as it allows to obtain an interactive experience in many sports activities through
