Salik expands beyond Dubai with UAE-wide parking

Dubai’s toll gate operator, Salik, has announced its first expansion beyond the Emirate of Dubai by partnering with
Parkonic, the UAE’s largest private sector parking operator. This five-year agreement will integrate Salik’s eWallet
system into Parkonic’s 107 existing locations across the UAE, encompassing approximately 135,000 parking
spaces. Implementation is expected in the first quarter of 2025.

Under the terms of the partnership, Parkonic will promote Salik’s eWallet as the preferred payment method for its
customers at all current and future locations. In return, Salik will receive a percentage of the parking fees
processed through its eWallet system, contributing to the company’s ancillary revenue streams.

This collaboration aligns with Salik’s strategy to leverage its technology platform beyond tolling operations. It
aims to enhance smart city infrastructure by providing streamlined and secure parking payment solutions across
the UAE.
