If you’re on the way to Sharjah and you pass through Al Mamzar South, you will pay Dhs4. But if you
then pass through Al Mamzar North within one hour, you can drive underneath that toll gate for free.
And vice versa… When passing through Al Mamzar North on your way to the Al Mamzar South gate in
the same direction within an hour you will only be charged only once. That’s technically a discount
(sort of).
When it comes to the new toll gates, the news is if you cross the two Safa Gates (north and south)
within a one-hour window, you’ll pay only once.
Setting up your Salik
To sign up for your Salik, go online to buy a tag or stop by any petrol station in Dubai or Abu Dhabi.
You’ll then have to activate the tag online and then stick your tag to your windshield, add credit and
you’re able to pass through the toll gates with ease. Each payment will be deducted automatically.
