The Ajman Tourism Development Department, led by Director-General Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, has initiated a
promotional tour across the CIS countries. Running from September 14th to 21st, the tour aims to strengthen ties with
tourism sector representatives in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan to attract more visitors to Ajman.

As part of the tour, the Department will visit Almaty, Tashkent, and Baku to showcase Ajman’s newest tourist destinations
and projects that are designed to elevate the emirate’s standing as a global tourism hub.
Ajman has seen a significant rise in tourists from the CIS region, with a remarkable 12 percent growth in both visitors and
overnight stays. This surge reflects the emirate’s increasing appeal as a destination. Additionally, hotel occupancy rates have
risen by 3 percent, and room revenues have grown by 5 percent compared to the previous year.
