Ajman is taking significant strides to develop rural areas into sought-after tourism
destinations with the unveiling of the Masfout Gate project. Situated in the
picturesque Masfout region, the new landmark aims to attract tourists to this lesser-known
part of the UAE while celebrating its unique blend of natural beauty, heritage, and outdoor
adventure.

Inaugurated by His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council
Member and Ruler of Ajman, the Masfout Gate marks a key milestone in the UAE’s
ambitious villages development initiative. This project, in cooperation with the Municipality
and Planning Department of Ajman and the Emirates Council for Balanced
Development, focuses on transforming rural areas into cultural and tourism hotspots. The
Masfout Gate is not just a gateway; it’s a statement of the region’s potential as a top tourism
destination.

A Gateway to Heritage and Adventure
Spanning an impressive 500 square meters and rising 16 meters in height, the Masfout
Gate is not just an architectural marvel but a visual landmark for travelers entering the
region. The 40-meter-long walkway acts as a warm welcome to visitors and is strategically
positioned to highlight the area’s natural and cultural beauty.

Masfout, located about 90 minutes from Ajman city, is nestled within the Hajar Mountains,
offering a refreshing contrast to the typically hot and arid climate found in much of the UAE.
