1/29/24, 1:57 PM Sobha Realty contributes $1.3mn to BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi - Construction Week Online
Opening on 14 February 2024 in a ceremony termed the Festival of Harmony, the
BAPS Hindu Mandir is situated on a 27-acre complex in Abu Mureikha, south of
Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi off the Dubai-Abu Dhabi Sheikh Zayed highway.

Designed by architectural firm RSP, the entire building is made in a traditional style
from pink sandstone and white marble, hand-sculpted by thousands of skilled artisans
from India and depicts scenery from nature and Hindu scripture.

“It is a great honour and privilege to contribute to the BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu
Dhabi and support this social and cultural cause,” said PNC Menon, Founder and
        Chairman of Sobha Realty.

“This is consistent with our values and dedication to having a lasting positive impact on
society. The donation reiterates our commitment to contributing to society and
assisting the diverse cultural communities in the UAE, all of which play a key role in
consolidating the nation’s reputation for fostering an inclusive, tolerant, and diverse
        society.”

Over 2,000 artisans in the state of Rajasthan in India have meticulously designed the
intricate carvings on pillars, statues, and columns for this very first hand-sculpted
Hindu temple, over the last four years.

The temple cultivates a sense of tranquility and spirituality by offering a peaceful
        setting for prayer and meditation.

The company is involved in a number of humanitarian initiatives in the region as well
as generous contributions for noble causes worldwide, including the Mohammed bin
Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives in Dubai.
