“On Emirati Children’s Day, the UAE proudly celebrates its significant achievements in child

welfare and the protection of children’s rights. Through a comprehensive legislative

framework, the UAE ensures the well-being of children and advocates for their rights,
fostering awareness, empowerment, and care. This day reflects the profound commitment of

our wise leadership to nurture and safeguard the rights of children, recognising their pivotal

role as architects of the future. Guided by this ethos, the UAE has emerged as a global model

for protecting children’s rights and crafting robust legal frameworks to ensure the proper

upbringing of future generations. Emirati Children’s Day serves as an opportunity to promote

family and community awareness about the need to provide children with nurturing

environments conducive to their holistic development, thus equipping them to grow into future
contributors to the UAE’s advancement across all domains. On this occasion, we, at the

Supreme Legislation Committee in the Emirate of Dubai (SLC), reiterate our commitment to
