AqlanX is dedicated to developing UAE-made, Arabic-first AI technologies that automate business processes and
improve operational efficiency for large organizations. The company’s objectives align closely with the UAE’s
innovation and digital economy strategy, positioning the nation as a hub for AI and innovation-driven initiatives.

In a bid to strengthen national capacity, AqlanX, DoxAI, and Lakeba have partnered with the University of
Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD) to create an AI Centre of Excellence. This initiative aims to nurture local AI talent,
research, and innovation directly in the UAE.

The investment agreement was signed in the presence of H.E. Dr. Thani Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for
Foreign Trade. He stated that the collaboration between AqlanX, Lakeba, and DoxAI highlights the effectiveness of
the NextGen FDI program in fostering strategic partnerships across various sectors. He emphasized the commitment
to developing an ecosystem that encourages innovation and cooperation in key areas like artificial intelligence.

Giuseppe Porcelli, Executive Chairman of Lakeba and DoxAI, remarked that the investment represents a
commitment to a shared vision. He expressed pride in supporting AqlanX, which he believes is at the forefront of
enterprise AI in the Middle East.

Demetrio Russo, Founder and CEO of AqlanX, conveyed that with the backing of Lakeba and DoxAI, AqlanX is
poised to deliver top-tier Arabic-first AI, developed specifically for the UAE. He highlighted the goal of creating an
innovation hub that aligns with the region’s ambitions and empowers local enterprises to achieve global leadership.

AqlanX is set to leverage the expertise and intellectual property of DoxAI, along with strategic capital from Lakeba
Ventures, to establish itself as a leader in the enterprise AI market within the region. The NextGen FDI initiative,
launched in 2022, plays a pivotal role in promoting investments in future-focused sectors, reinforcing the UAE’s
position as a global innovation hub, and accelerating the diversification of the national economy. AqlanX joins over
100 companies in sectors including renewable energy, advanced manufacturing, and robotics.
