The UAE's Ministry of Economy has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the
Egyptian Competition Authority (ECA) to protect competition and prevent monopolistic practices in

Egypt, according to a statement.

Combating monopolistic practices in Egypt

The agreement aims to support bilateral cooperation in competition protection and combating

monopolistic practices, fostering a fair business environment, and promoting sustainable economic
development in both countries.

The memorandum spans four years and is automatically renewable. It outlines cooperation across

several areas, including the exchange of expertise, knowledge, and best practices, the organization
