Keynote speeches and workshops during the event emphasized the need for adaptive legislation that
can evolve alongside rapid AI advancements while ensuring privacy, security, and public trust.
Participants examined the essential role of legislation in creating an ecosystem that supports
innovation and responsibly integrates AI into public and private practices.

Ahmad Saeed bin Meshar Al Muhairi, Secretary General of the SLC, underscored the importance of
the event for Dubai’s global positioning. He remarked, “By exploring avenues to establish a
comprehensive legislative framework that supports innovation, we are paving the way for responsible
AI use across sectors.” Al Muhairi highlighted that the week allowed for critical discussions on legal

challenges surrounding AI, strategies for data security, and protecting individual rights, all crucial for
Dubai's vision as a leader in AI-driven governance.

The opening day featured keynote topics such as “Convergence: How the UAE and Dubai are
Creating AI Policy and Legislation for Global Interoperability and High-Value Innovation,” “AI Ethics in
the Legislative Ecosystem,” and “Medical AI in the Balance: Unlocking Potential While Navigating

        Legal Boundaries.”

Another highlight of the event was the ‘Legislative Lab,’ a series of brainstorming sessions involving
representatives from government entities. These sessions explored Dubai’s future readiness and the
role of adaptable legislation in securing the city’s position at the forefront of AI development. The

discussions covered empowering talent, supporting sustainable development, fostering AI startups,
and ensuring ethical, secure, and transparent AI deployment.

A significant focus was also placed on regulatory frameworks addressing data protection and liability
concerns related to AI. Attendees examined the need for clear guidelines on responsibility for potential
damages or harm caused by AI technologies.

The event concluded with actionable recommendations aimed at developing a legislative ecosystem
that aligns with ongoing advancements in AI. Participants stressed the value of collaboration between
government and private sectors to craft a legal framework that fosters innovation while anticipating
future market needs. These initiatives are part of Dubai’s larger effort to establish itself as a global hub

for innovation by leveraging advanced technology and AI, in line with the emirate’s vision of
        sustainable growth and future-focused governance.
