Dubai will soon get a new university, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al
Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, announced on Monday.

It is backed by AED 400 million donation from Sobha Reality towards the Mother's Endowment initiative.

Posting on social media, Sheikh Hamdan hailed the agreement and thanked the group's founder, PNC Menon,

"for supporting this initiative.

"We are proud of the spirit of generosity that distinguishes the Dubai community, and the positive impact of such
contributions on @MBRInitiatives' global educational goals".

Launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the
UAE and the Ruler of Dubai, the initiative allows contributors to honour their mothers by donating on their behalf.
It will contribute towards the AED 1 billion endowment fund to sustainably support the education of millions

around the world.

Under the agreement, Sobha Realty will construct and develop the university campus and hand it over to
Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) upon completion.
