Her Excellency Mariam Mohammed Al Rumaithi, Director General of the Family
Development Foundation (FDF), underscored the role of Her Highness Sheikha
Fatima bint Mubarak, 'Mother of the Nation', Chairwoman of the General
Women's Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and

Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of FDF, as a global symbol of humanitarian
work. Driven by Her Highness' strong belief in the principles of giving, tolerance,
and human solidarity, her humanitarian and charitable endeavours have
expanded to various parts of the world.

In a statement celebrating H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak becoming the first

woman to ever be awarded the prestigious 'Order of the Republic' by Turkish
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Her Excellency reiterated how Her Highness's
broad range of development and relief initiatives across friendly nations has
focused on empowering women and children, enhancing access to healthcare
and education, and ensuring rapid response to humanitarian crises and natural
disasters.

Her Excellency also implied that this prestigious honour demonstrates the global
admiration and respect for an extraordinary humanitarian figure who has devoted
her life to serving humanity, encouraging harmony, and planting seeds of
generosity across the world. The legacy of her journey is reflected in the love
people hold for her, the recognition she receives on global platforms, and the

medal that is proudly celebrated by the entire nation.

As stated by Her Excellency, Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, 'Mother
of the Nation', has consistently dedicated her efforts to shaping a better future for

coming generations. She has placed special emphasis on childhood and never
overlooked the role of women in society, incorporating their empowerment into
her top priorities. Her Highness has actively supported women across all fields,
