• Residents must eliminate stagnant water in swimming pools, water-
filled plant containers, barrels, among others
• Wear light-coloured, loose-fitting clothing with long sleeves and
pants
• Install proper window and door screens and ensure they are intact
• Renew drinking water for animals (if applicable)
• Use insect repellents containing Deet or Picaridin on exposed skin,
and re-apply as instructed
