A smart boat, which is designed to collect floating waste in creeks and water canals, has
been unveiled by Dubai Municipality.

The remotely-operated 'marine scraper' has the capacity to collect and transport 1,000 kg of waste.

It features an advanced control system that uses 5G networks to execute precise manoeuvres, with

real-time monitoring made possible through satellite technology.

The scraper also has an interactive external environment system, which enhances marine safety by

automatically preventing collisions.
