8/19/25, 9:29 AM Knowledge Lounge unveils vibrant cultural and educational calendar for August - Catch
included the Writer of the Future workshop, designed to develop aspiring writers, and the Art of Public
Speaking session, aimed at boosting communication confidence.

As part of MBRF’s Our Knowledge Summer programme, children delved into the classic The Little Prince,

reflecting on its moral lessons and human values. Creativity flourished in the We Create an Illustrated
Story workshop, while the Youth Knowledge Club held a thought-provoking dialogue on Artificial

Intelligence and Literature: Challenges and Opportunities. In Al Ain, participants explored the
        novel Azazel.

The initiative extended beyond the UAE with Alexandria’s Book from My Library event, promoting
regional cultural exchange. Back home, children were introduced to Arabic calligraphy through

the Little Calligrapher of Knowledge workshop, while Sharjah and Ajman hosted group readings
        of Finding Your Voice.

Participants also engaged in a Diary Writing workshop, reflecting on personal narratives. To mark World

Humanitarian Day, a dedicated event encouraged compassion, volunteerism, and empathy.

Young learners continued with imaginative sessions such as An Inspiring Story Told by a Bird.

Khorfakkan hosted a session on personal finance awareness, while Stories Inspired by Pictures linked
        visual expression with storytelling.

Abu Dhabi’s agenda featured a session on Ikigai, exploring purposeful living, followed by the Writing

Lounge, which celebrated literary works. Fujairah honoured Emirati Women’s Day through readings
amplifying women’s experiences. The month concludes with a Dubai session on women’s literary voices

in the UAE and an Al Ain discussion of a novel centred on philosophy and emotion.

Complementing these were further August workshops, including Whose Doll Is This?, Your Favourite

Character: Let’s Create It Together, and the Read Book Series, in addition to repeats of Let’s Create an
Illustrated Story and Little Calligrapher of Knowledge.

By curating this diverse calendar, the Knowledge Lounge continues to strengthen knowledge culture,

        foster dialogue, and encourage creativity.
