Statement by Ahmad bin Meshar Al Muhairi,

SLC Secretary General,

on UAE National Day

Dubai, UAE, December 1, 2023:

The UAE National Day is a cherished national occasion, during which we celebrate our beloved
country's achievements across various fields. It's a time to express our deep national pride and

unwavering loyalty to our wise leadership.

This auspicious day embodies the values of unity and solidarity among Emirati nationals. It
resounds with Emiratis’ profound pride in the extraordinary journey initiated by the revered

forefathers of the nation - the late H.H. Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the late Sheikh Rashid
bin Saeed Al Maktoum, and their brothers, the co-founders of the Union.

Today, the UAE continues to stride confidently into the future, anchored in forward-looking

ambitious visions that prioritise humanity and aim for global leadership. On this most treasured
national occasion, we, at the Supreme Legislation Committee in the Emirate of Dubai (SLC),

extend our heartfelt congratulations and warmest greetings to H.H. Mohammed bin Zayed Al
Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al

Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, as well as Their

Highnesses, Members of the Federal Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates. On this day,
we earnestly pray to Allah to sustain our beloved country with blessings of peace, security,

progress, and prosperity under the guidance of our wise leadership.
