Engineer Mohammed Bin Majed, Director-General of the Department of Industry and
Economy in Fujairah and chairman of the organizing committee, promised that the
preparations are done to ensure the success of the championships.
“UAE in general and Fujairah, in particular, are hosting these championships for the first
time.
“We are delighted to welcome athletes from across the globe to participate in the most
significant event in bodybuilding and fitness.
“Hosting this event in Fujairah crowns a long journey of hard work and dedication, as we
have been organizing bodybuilding competitions since 2000.”
More than 700 athletes representing 100 countries are expected to take part in the
championships.
“Given the championships’ stature, we expect around 700 participants to compete in these
top events of the IFBB calendar. IFBB Mr. & Mrs. World Championships will also provide us
with worldwide recognition and allow us to demonstrate our ability to host international
events, which positions Fujairah as a growing sports destination,” added Engineer
Mohammed Bin Majed.
