CABSAT ‘24 concludes with new announcements,
partnerships, MoUs

The 30th edition of CABSAT, the
premier conference for the broadcast,
satellite, content creation, production,
distribution, and entertainment
industries, concluded successfully
with a record-breaking turnout.
Organized by the Dubai World Trade
Centre, the event drew over 18,000
visitors and featured significant
announcements of collaborations and Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) among exhibiting
organizations.
One of the key highlights was the announcement of a strategic partnership between
Almanasa, Iraq’s OTT streaming platform, and Roya Media Group, aimed at enhancing the streaming
experience across Iraq. This collaboration, unveiled at the CABSAT Co-Production Salon, promises to
offer a diverse and extensive library of entertainment options, the company said in a press statement.
CABSAT 2024 also showcased exclusive events like the Content Congress and the SATExpo Summit,
attracting global industry leaders, regional government officials, and business stakeholders for three
days of networking and knowledge-sharing.
Majed Al Suwaidi, Senior Vice President of Dubai Media City, Dubai Studio City, and Dubai Production
City at TECOM Group PJSC, emphasized the importance of fostering local talent and highlighted Dubai
Studio City’s role in producing over 358,000 minutes of unique content in 2023. He praised the
