Strategic Enhancements During Fourth Meeting Of Academic Year

The Board of Trustees of Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU) convened its fourth meeting for the 2024–2025 academic
year, chaired by His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board, with the attendance of esteemed board members.

During the session, the Board reviewed the implementation progress of previous resolutions and examined updates from its subcommittees
to further strengthen governance and operational effectiveness. A key highlight of the meeting was the discussion of a proposed
organizational structure aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and aligning administrative functions with the University’s evolving
strategic vision, solidifying its leadership in smart learning and digital transformation.
The Board also approved the finalized plan for the upcoming graduation ceremony, including its date and venue.

His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer emphasized the urgency of aligning with rapid technological changes in smart education. He underscored the
importance of integrating artificial intelligence and machine learning into a seamless digital learning ecosystem and
reinforcing international academic partnerships to elevate the quality and global competitiveness of HBMSU’s academic offerings.

“This meeting marks a strategic milestone to review our progress, advance academic excellence, and accelerate digital transformation in line
with our leadership’s vision for the future of education,” said Al Tayer.

He added that the dynamic global landscape requires universities to embrace flexible operational models and data-driven decision-
making frameworks, ensuring agility and responsiveness to change.

His Excellency reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to building a sustainable and technology-driven educational model that upholds HBMSU’s
distinguished reputation both locally and globally.

His Excellency Dr. Mansoor Al Awar, Chancellor of HBMSU, echoed the importance of forming strategic partnerships and adopting global
best practices in higher education. He emphasized that innovation and quality remain central to the University’s mission and future
growth.
