Statement by H.E. Mariam Mohammed Al Rumaithi,

Director General of the Family Development Foundation

On ‘UAE Flag Day’

H.E. Al Rumaithi:

“The flag is a symbol of the nation’s pride, hope, and ambition.”

H.E. Mariam Mohammed Al Rumaithi, Director General of the Family
Development Foundation, said: “The Flag Day reflects the unity and cohesion

between the people and the wise leadership. It rekindles pride in the country's

sovereignty, respect for its leadership, and a resolve to keep working towards the

glory and advancement of the country. By honouring this tradition, the UAE's flag

is promised to fly high, symbolising the pride and patriotism of its citizens.”

H.E. stated “The Flag Day, fosters harmony and embodies the unity of efforts in

serving the nation, advancing our society, and promoting our collective vision for
the future, Also pointed that the flag is a symbol of a journey full of

accomplishments in various fields of work, a reminder of the national gains since

the beginning of the Union's journey, as well as the success stories of the founding

leaders who did everything in their power to make the United Arab Emirates a place

where people can live in peace and harmony.

H.E. Al Rumaithi also emphasised how Flag Day reflects our deeply ingrained

national values, principles, and identity. It is an annual celebration and a pivotal day
in the lives of UAE citizens, as this national occasion represents the nation’s

numerous successes, placing it at the forefront of global accomplishments. By

honouring this symbol of pride, hope, and ambition, the UAE will continue its

journey towards greater excellence as a prosperous nation.
