The meeting’s agenda focused on strengthening trade and investment ties, improving the resilience of the GCC
economy, and accelerating efforts to enhance the bloc’s competitiveness on regional and global scales.
Participants reviewed several initiatives aimed at boosting cooperation in key economic sectors, promoting

innovation, and ensuring a more seamless and unified GCC market.

During the session, Bin Touq reaffirmed the UAE’s steadfast commitment to supporting joint GCC initiatives, in
line with the vision and directives of the nation’s leadership. He stressed the importance of intensifying
collective efforts to reinforce the region’s economic resilience and solidify its role as a vital global trade and

investment hub.

He highlighted that small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and entrepreneurship play a central role in
driving sustainable economic development across the GCC. Bin Touq called for expanding collaborative
programmes that empower entrepreneurs through enhanced financing, insurance mechanisms, and streamlined

business services, ensuring their effective integration into regional and international value chains.

The Committee also reviewed ongoing progress in developing unified GCC commercial legislation, including
frameworks for competition law, e-commerce, and digital trade regulation, which are critical to modernizing the
region’s economic infrastructure.

Additionally, the meeting explored mechanisms to deepen cooperation with major global economic blocs,

thereby strengthening the GCC’s presence in international markets and expanding its trade partnerships.

The discussions underlined a collective vision to foster a competitive, innovation-driven GCC economy, guided
by shared goals of diversification, digital transformation, and sustainable growth.
