His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of
Dubai, emphasized the UAE’s dedication to enhancing its economic connections with the African continent. He pointed out
the considerable growth opportunities and extensive potential for investment across various sectors, particularly in tourism.
His Highness noted that the continent’s rich natural resources and its ambition for sustainable tourism growth align
seamlessly with the UAE’s vision for the future of global tourism.

His Highness made these remarks during a meeting with delegates attending the UAE-Africa Tourism Investment Summit
2025, which commenced on Monday under the theme ‘Building Bridges for Sustainable Growth.’ The summit convened
tourism ministers, government leaders, and investors from across Africa, showcasing the UAE’s leadership in shaping
global tourism and fostering sustainable, inclusive growth.

In a meeting held at Expo City Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed warmly welcomed the delegates to the UAE, highlighting the
importance of shared visions and innovative ideas to further enhance economic and development partnerships with African
nations while strengthening existing collaborations. He underscored that the tourism sector, in particular, holds significant
potential to foster sustainable growth and cultural connections between peoples.

His Highness praised the increasingly influential role of the African continent in shaping the global economy, noting the
vast opportunities and potential it possesses. He stressed that cooperation between the UAE and Africa in tourism
investment serves as a vital model for economic integration rooted in a shared vision and mutual interests.
