Between 2019 and 2023, Emirati companies invested more than USD 110 billion in new projects across Africa

At the recent UAE-Africa Tourism Investment Summit 2025 in Dubai, with participation of over 350
leaders, ministers, and investors from the UAE and 53 African countries, the United Arab Emirates
outlined a roadmap for investments of up to USD 6 billion in African tourism industry.

During the UAE-Africa Tourism Investment Summit 2025 held today in Dubai, over 350 leaders, ministers,
senior government officials, decision-makers, investors, and entrepreneurs from the United Arab Emirates and
53 African countries gathered to explore sustainable tourism development and investment opportunities.

In a significant development, the UAE outlined a new investment mapping, identifying tourism-related projects
worth an estimated USD 6 billion, with the potential to create 70,000 jobs across Africa.

The initiative aims to attract global investors and foster public-private partnerships to support sustainable
development.

Speakers at the summit highlighted that Africa’s tourism sector remains a major driver of economic growth,
supporting over 22 million jobs and contributing around USD 180 billion to the continent’s GDP prior to the
