Al Sayegh has a rich history in leadership roles within both public and private sectors across the UAE. He previously
served as Chairman of Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), Aldar Properties, and Masdar. Additionally, he was a board
member at Etihad Airways Group and Mubadala Investment Company.
In his previous role since September 2018, Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh was Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He managed economic and commercial affairs, focusing on economic diversification strategies. His efforts also included
strengthening bilateral relations with Asian countries and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) members.
Al Sayegh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Lewis & Clark College in the United States. Besides his ministerial
duties, he is involved with several organisations. He is on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee at Abu Dhabi
National Oil Company (ADNOC) and serves as Vice Chairman of Emirates Nature–WWF.
