UAE participates in the seventh Ministerial Meeting of the GCC
Economic and Development Affairs Authority in Kuwait
Meeting discusses mechanisms to enhance cooperation in implementing the
GCC’s shared economic visions
Abu Dhabi, 09 October 2025:
H.E. Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism, led the UAE delegation
participating in the seventh meeting of the Permanent Preparatory Committee at the Ministerial
Level of the GCC Economic and Development Affairs Authority, held in Kuwait on 9 October
2025. The meeting discussed a range of projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing collaboration
and integration among GCC states.
H.E. Bin Touq highlighted the UAE’s commitment to supporting the GCC’s joint efforts across
various sectors, particularly in the economic and investment domains. These areas form the
cornerstone of the GCC’s growth and prosperity, strengthening its position on the global economic
landscape, enhancing its ability to attract high-quality investments, and driving sustainable and
inclusive development for its peoples.
H.E. said: “The UAE remains committed to continuing constructive work, strengthening
collaboration, and developing practical insights and solutions that contribute to implementing all
joint initiatives and projects. These efforts contribute to realizing the GCC’s objectives of
sustainable growth and economic integration, embodying our shared aspiration to build a
diversified, innovation-driven, and fully integrated regional economy.”
H.E. added: “The GCC countries have made significant strides in their economic diversification
journey, serving as successful and pioneering models in this field. They have also developed
advanced infrastructure and technological ecosystems, leveraging their distinctive geographical
position, to create broader prospects and new opportunities for cooperation among GCC countries.
These efforts will further support the competitive edge of our economies and advance them in line
with the global developments.” H.E. emphasised that the meeting offered a valuable opportunity
to strengthen economic integration among GCC countries and advance efforts toward the bloc’s
economic integration by adopting more unified economic policies.
