Abdullah Bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Chairman of the Emirates Tourism Council,

emphasised that the tourism sector contributed to the UAE’s economy, with an 11.7% increase in Gross

Domestic Product (GDP) in 2023, totaling Dhs220 billion.

Speaking on the first day of the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2024, Al Marri stated that the sector is

expected to contribute 12% of the UAE’s GDP, equivalent to Dhs236 billion.
