The Abu Dhabi Exports Office, also known as ADEX, which is the export financing branch of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD), has highlighted
its strong commitment to supporting national exports. The office is focusing on strategic investments that improve digital and green infrastructure. These
investments not only help Angola’s development but also expand the global reach of UAE companies.
Strategic Cooperation Between UAE and Angola

In February 2023, ADEX signed two important financing agreements with the Government of Angola, totaling AED445 million. These agreements aim to
support critical projects in technology and infrastructure in the country.

The first agreement, valued at AED330 million, is dedicated to creating two advanced data centres and a national cloud-computing platform. This project is
being implemented by Presight, a UAE-based company specializing in artificial intelligence (AI) and big data solutions. The initiative will help Angola
improve its technology sector and provide modern digital solutions for businesses and government services.

The second agreement, worth AED115 million, focuses on modernizing street lighting systems in several Angolan cities. The project aims to replace old
lighting systems with energy-efficient technologies, reducing energy consumption and promoting a greener environment. The project is being carried out
in collaboration with Mark Cables, a UAE-based company known for its innovative solutions in electrical infrastructure.
